    from the pics, I would guess that it is the opposite of the cat-cuts for the tarps- ie chord is how much the curve goes -out- from the corner to corner line, rather than how much the curve goes -in- from the corner to corner line.. Hope this helps..Just guessing though..

    Good grief! I would make a terrible sailmaker! Had a Eureka moment in the shower...

    The ends shouldn't be full cut, they should be cat cut! Then they would need no gathering, nor darts, nor extra suspension!

    This afternoon, I'll modify an IX UQ to have full sides, slightly longer corners, and a cat cut across the ends.

    is it 3 layer? that is exactly what i want to do. is that just grosgrain around the edges? this will be my first project. i need to get some grosgrain and shock cord but i think it will be a better first project than messing with down.
