I must be the warmest sleeper here! Except for a couple of cooler spots, I was comfy with NOTHING BUT my 20 degree bag at around 40. No pad, no underquilt, nothing but my bag. And the only reason I noticed the cool spots under my shoulders and butt was that I was SO warm on top. I actually ended up with the bag halfway open by morning.

Might try not using side tieout in weather below 40 degrees as the following article suggests. I did'nt use them and I really could'nt tell the difference.

I also did not tie out the sides, as to allow the nest to wrap around me even more. I also had my tarp pithced REALLY close to my hammock on the sides and pulled down w/in a few inches from the ground. Until I got into my hammock, the tarp was touching the ridgeline. I think that helped my warmth too, and amazingly, I did not have condensation build up, but some tenters next to me did.

Shaleyleggs, Could you please put the links to your shakedown report back in your first post. Users can not see what this is all about because you removed the links to your post. Thank you for all your cooperation in trying to help the hammocking community.

Seems ShakeyLeggs is gone from the forum. Please come on back Shakey. Myself and I'm sure others really enjoyed your input as well as enthusiasm in your hammocking adventure.
