Does anyone know the different between these two products from Frogg Toggs? I'm thinking of using one for a Hennessey top cover.

Frogg Toggs material is usually heavier, more durable than Dri Ducks. Same material, Frogg Toggs just has more layers of it. Usually people pick Dri Ducks when they want to save on weight.

Thanks. I found a sale on Pro Action that's almost the same cost as a new dri ducks and was wondering if it would be any advantage or not. I see that sometime folks have found dri ducks for about half off. Maybe I should just be patient and wait for another Dri Ducks sale if there's not benifit for the Action Pro
At Uwharrie hangout, Cooldays told me he bought his FroggToggs poncho at ****'s for ten dollars (sale!). It was a lot thicker than the Dri-ducks poncho. I think it would work as well as the Dri-ducks poncho does for multiple uses, but agreed it does not seem as light.

The Dri-Ducks material almost seems cheap and has a thick coated paper-towelish feel in my mind. I felt like it would rip at any moment if snagged, but it is extremely light for the cost. If you don't hike much than that would be a cheap and effective way to go. I wanted to feel more secure about my gear, so I returned it (very glad I didn't have to test it out).
I have no idea about Frogg-toggs. My understanding is that it is more durable and costs more.
I have the ultra light rain suit in small, ( i am a medium in everythign else, but small fits me), it is frogg toggs, pants and jacket with hood weigh in at 13 oz. Plenty light for me and yes it is covered in ductape, probably 50 pieces on the bottom (just tiny little pieces some as small as a pea). If i bought a new one I would either wear it with large gaiters, or as soon as i got it cut some strips of duc tape and pu them around the front shins on the pants for abrasion like a shin guard.
