How does the first weekend of May sound to everyone? Then it will be warm enough for everyone and people can have time to plan for it?

I'm up for going, but I have a big May Day campout already planned. Sorry.
Anytime later in the month though.

Also, I just did Eagle Creek trail two weeks ago. Beautiful but I hear it is like a highway once the weather is better... may want to consider something less traveled? Primitiveliver knows a lot of the local trails.. he may have some ideas?

Same weekend as the Vancouver Marathon. Sorry, but I am already signed up for the half.

Still no clue in regards to my schedule, but another option to Eagle Creek could be Mt. Defiance starting at Starvation Creek and ending at Herman Creek. This would require a shuttle car, but I think you'd find it less traveled compared to Eagle Creek.

I've been to Whatum Lake with another group including bigfoot and food. The only thing is the trees are really big and really far apart. As in 20+ feet apart and 2-3 feet in diameter. You will need extra rope in the Douglas fir forest for sure.

My knees may not take the hike up, but I know how to drive my truck in and I would meet ya'll there. I'll have my coonskin cap so will recognise me. I want to hang my hammock on a hill side to try that out.

Maybe the second weekend in May? Sounds like there's already lots going on the first weekend. I'll be heading back East for a vacation after that, but could probably make it the second weekend.
