how much tension before I can't adjust a whoopie sling?

I'm currently using a webbing/rings suspension and love the ease of adjustability. I've got some amsteel on the way and am hoping to make some whoopie slings. My question is: will I still be able to adjust the whoopie slings when my hammock is holding the weight of my sleeping bag and pad? At this point that's my primary concern with going to whoopies. Thanks for any input!

If everything is in my hammock I have a hard time adjusting the WS. However it is an easy fix, just grab the susension before the bury and adjust away. You will love the WS.

You will be fine unless you use a steel hammock can someone find the pic of that thing My son at 50 pounds makes it hard to adjust the hang when he is in the hammock, but for a couple pounds of hammock, quilt and what not should not be an issue.

well...I suppose I should mention that my sleeping bag does weigh over 7 lbs and my current pad weighs 4. Yeah...it's carpet pad. I'm cheap. Maybe I'm worried about nothing, though. Thanks for the input.

If you can lift the weight of the hammock to take the tension off of the rope then you can easily adjust it. Unless you are on severe weight restrictions you will have no problem.

As otter said, if you can lift the hammock with your hands, then you can adjust the WS, or if there is A LOT of weight you can adjust down but be careful because that weight will want to bring the WS down fast.

That's funny Great job on the vector looks very cool. I think I may have a shot from that day that is even more similar.
