I use my fot pad for a lot of other stuff.

1. Ground cloth, when i need to put stuff on the ground
2. Sit pad on logs by the fire
3. Insulate the bottom of my Alpacka
4. Insulation in my Jerry chair

But i still think this idea to peapod your footbox is neat, gonna try that out.
I almost always carry a Wm flight jacket anyway.
But i wont ditch my pad

I still use my pad in the hammock, but let my heels hang off the end. That covers the small gap between the vest and UQ, and I use it for everything you mentioned, anyway.

If you mean the last outtake, my Stick Pic fell off the end of the pole. I always put the pole through the wrist strap first, though, so no damage.

Glad you enjoyed. I figured since everyone else puts outtakes in their vids, and especially since I enjoy them immensely, I thought I'd return the favor.

One thing that didn't make it into the video was that I keep the vest from working its way off the end of the hammock with a little badge clip (the kind that attaches your ID badge to your shirt) that attaches to one corner of the UQ so I can clip the hem of the vest to it. Not sure if it's really necessary, but makes me feel better for essentially no weight penalty. If you look fast, you can just see it on the view of the back of the vest on the hammock.

Great video. Love the vest-around-the-footbox! I've used bits of line to string up my Lafuma down coat under my feet before, but on the Clark it didn't work as nicely as your set-up seemed to. Nicely done!
