    Kelty Foraker 15* Down Bag

I know most everyone here is a diehard quilt lover, but like the idea of having a multi-purpose unit for sleeping just in case I need to go to the ground (gasp...). I just picked up a Long Kelty Foraker 15* 750 Down bag for $125 shipped from Sunny Sports. If anyone else is in the market for a bag, this seemed to be a great price.

It should go great with my Lost River (thanks again Paul, I used it this weekend to 38* and it was great).

I have had good luck with opening up my sleeping bag and using it as a quilt in my hammock. I'm sure I will convert to a TQ sometime...

Just got a tracking number. Coming from New York (to Oregon), should be here late next week. I will post a brief review once it arrives.

I did get the bag and I have had some limited time to spend in it. I love this bag. It is very warm (I would say pretty close to accurate, maybe 20* bag for me). It compresses nicely and comes with a storage bag and a compression bag. The compression bag is a little small and it takes some effort to get it in there.

I bought the long version (I am 6'8") and I fit fine in zipped up in there even though it lists it for 6'6". I have used it as a quilt and it does very well for me. The "footbox" comes up to the back of my calves and it is toasty warm.

I am a big fan of this bag and my father-in-law purchased one after seeing and laying in mine. Overall, for the price, I say you can't beat it (I got mine for $125 shipped).

thanks for the responses ..my brother is working out of town and asked me to look at some bags for him. and after checking out my down bag he also wanted a down bag .. i think hes going to order this bag . even though its going to be quite the over kill for warmer weather .if he hurries he'll get to use it before it gets too warm ..
    thanks again
