Hey Top. Is it really as see-thru-ish as it seems? I mean when a hand is placed against the fabric, yep I can see the hand as clear as day. But, can you be seen while laying or sitting in your hammock when it's pitched? In other words at what distance does it become (if ever) non see through?

    Thanks.
P.S. Great book on the BMT. Just received mine and I'm using it for this weekends hike.

This is really cool. I, like many others I'm sure, have thought/dreamed of a transparent tarp. Over the last few months I've gone to sleep with my tarp pitched to one half side so as to not block my view of the up. I know it's not glass clear, but still love the idea of being able to see slightly through it. Can't wait to get my hands on it! How long is the waiting list and can you please put my name on it?

Is this a 9 month delay. Some of us sound pretty eager to see it, buy it and try it.

    I'm certainly interested.

    Sorry, I just saw this...

I haven't tested the full extent of this, but I think within about 10 yards someone would know if you were under there. But then again I normally have one side up unless I expect bad weather.

Counselor, maybe you could bring a prototype to the Texas Hang so we can see what you are working on (not the baby). Can't believe I missed this whole discussion while I was out hiking the AT....

Red - the entire Cuben thing is postponed due to the baby.

The good news is i found the weight i want to use and a proper way to join the piece together without sewing. Now I just need to decide if i have the time and drive to still bring it to market.
