Question PCT Section L in Washington

Looking to do the northern-most section of the PCT (Section L in Washington) this August. Has anyone ever done this section in a hammock? Interested in any information that you might have.

Thanks. While I am mostly interested in hearing about the PCT, any information on the area would be welcome.

well for starters look at all the water sources along your route...now draw line through half of them.... it gets really dry up there by august any where on my side of the mountains that is. i've had a miserable day in the sawtooth because what used to be a year round creek had dried up, on the upside though this means almost zero bugs. i'd say just be sure to take a large water container. and no matter what any book you find on the subject tells you there are some good size rattlers up there. never have had much of a bear problem in the higher areas but i always do hang the smelly stuff, the pikas can cause as much damage. i look forward to seeing photos. let me now if there's something specific you wanted to know, i know a few folks that have hiked on the pct
