Please allow me to introduce myself...

    Hey guys, what's up?

I'm a twenty-one year old from Manchester, currently pursuing a degree in Outdoor Recreation at MTSU.
I'm big into backpacking and climbing, and occasionally have been known to do some paddling. I like to dabble in pretty much whatever extreme/outdoorsy whatever I can get into. Also, hoping to get a job as a whitewater raft guide this summer. : D

Well, on to hammocks, apparently a bigger deal than I first though. So I've been ground camping my whole life (since cub scouts,) but I've always thought it'd be cool to bring a hammock to sleep in. So, naturally, I went to Wal-mart, bought their ten-dollar excuse for a hammock, and tried to sleep in it. So I was turned off on hammocks for a while, until a year or so later I ran into a Hennessey and fell in love. Been hangin' myself ever since, but I'm looking to improve my experience. I'm still using a ground mat/sleeping bag combo, and I feel like there's probably a better option. But that's all for now, glad to be on here!

I loved my one-day float trip on the Middle Fork, Flathead River, Glacier National Park.

Welcome Yuri. Hope to see some pictures of your gear as you begin to collect it.

Welcome aboard! Get a good UQ to start with and use sleeping bag quilt style would be my suggestion. Sounds like you get plenty of opportunity to test your gear.
