Just received the Spectra fishing line. 300 yds, 40 lb test.
Got it on ebay. Power Pro brand. Made in the US by Innovative Textiles.
Don't know how they can make it in the US, ship it to China, sell it and ship it back to the US for $0.99 + $11 S&H. Doesn't make sense to me.
I was planning on maybe replacing the cable ties on the STLs with the spectra line.
Don't think that will happen. This stuff is as thin as a human hair - tying strong knots in it around the silicone tubing and the line will probably just cut straight through the tubing.
I have some 200 lb test spectra line, but hate to use that on this application.

I'd use it (such a short length after all); otherwise, I'd just use some cheap synthetic string with a similar or larger diameter.
