Tarp cleaning

I haven't seen this posted so here it goes...
What do you clean your tarp with if you get the dreaded bird droppings?
I know its not good for paint on cars so I assume it definitely cannot be good for your tarp. How does it affect silnylon?

I've always used Simple Green.

Just set it up and spray with a hose. The bird doodoo will melt off nicely

I second that. Thankfully... poo is water soluble.

Be sure to stay away from any cleaning solvent that contains alcohol. The milder the better. A bar of Ivory should be safe if soap is required.
