Well, you got me thinking again about how to hang in my `73 VW bus . . .
Problem is I already built a full camper interior, so there's too much stuff in the way, even though I've got the length.

Nice! I especially like hanging next to the open side door.

I am curious, though, as to whether water will wick into the van via the Amsteel. Let us know, please.

I cut them to 6". Don't necessarily need that length for any particular reason, it just felt right. That's 1/2" sch 40 pvc..

Me too Dave. I'd run it through the car wash but it won't fit!

Probably tie a couple drip lines just inside the doors. The seal on the door isn't really interrupted, but you know how water is.

    Hose test.

In my younger "hippie " days I hitch hiked from FL to NY and spent a good bit traveling with these kids who had a uhaul they hung several hammocks from... we would take tuns sleeping in them or on the floor as we road down the road.... nothing scarier then sleeping under a big guy swinging in a hammock... needless to say all was good and it held nicely for us all. Kinda off topic I know but your post made me laugh and a flood of memories came back.

Hose test confirms some slight seepage. The dogbones were slightly damp but not dripping. I tried it without the drip lines and really soaked the door frame dead on with a hose. Biner wasn't wet and water didn't get past the biner either.

I'll add the drip lines though. And I'll let you know if and when I do get wet!
