This may be hours of frustration talking - but I think I'll be buying my next tarp.

Thank you all for your help with this thread - Thanks neighbor Gargoyle for help with the DIY in general!

Shug, funny you should say something, after watching most of your videos I tried to picture you figuring this spreadsheet and couldn't do it. I feel better about a large "fudge factor"

This is Noah Lamports 2nd sil. Yikes! the widths are not the same length

    S0... option time.

make a triangle and slant each hypotenuse so they go in line with the cuts- and extend the end of the tarp?

Shorten my hammock 2 feet? its 11 now.

Hang tarp on the diagonal, it'll be plenty long!!
So 11 foot hammock, thats really big. You'll need a 12 foot tarp!! Sooooo,
For now I'd shorten the hammock. Just to save the frustration.
But if your still game, add some big ol' triangles.
With the hammock you don't need to cut it, just tie a knot in one end where you want it, and adjust larkshead/hammock suspension below the knot. Or do a double sheet bend knot.

Or really have a ton of sag, adjust your hammock ridgeline down to 10 feet and see how it works for ya.
    good luck, we're behind you!!!!

How big did your tarp turn out to be???
    Ambulo tua ambulo.
