OK, thanks. Is just that I remember something in ehow or some other simmilar site about how to cut ripstop, saying it can be difficult to cut with scissors and was needed to use some type of how wire cutter, which also keep it from fraying.

I've found 2 types of ripstop at my local WW:
Sharkskin gray 1.1 DWR ripstop (great stuff)
somewhere between olive and forest green 1.1-ish nylon ripstop *uncoated and uncalendared* - makes a great overcover as it's very breathable.
Others have found Silnylon, and digital Camo ripstop (presumably 1.1oz/sq yd).
It took me running to 4 of 5 walmarts in the San Diego area to find anything. Any time I'm near one, I stop in and check. So far I've made a total of 2 finds/buys. (I wish I could find more of that gray!).
