    501 trail magic for Snowwhite

I am heading up to the 501 shelter in PA to give Saragirl (Snowwhite) and her friends trail magic on Wednesday, 5-19-10. I should get there around 4:30 and split around 6:00. Anybody interested in meeting Snowwhite?
    Peace Dutch

what is trail magic??? my take on it is a unexpected gift left by someone on the trail, it could be a cold six pack, pizza or something you don't normally have or carry while doing a thru hike, if i am wrong someone please help out, you also have trail angels, that is the person leaving the gifts, or offerings, sometimes its a warm homecooked meal and a real bed, hot shower, laundry services, its just magic and the angels bring it!!!!
i do not remember the question, however i believe beer is the answer

The few times I have been involved in trail magic it has been food that was something beyond what a thru hiker could consider carrying. Grilled sausages with onions and peppers for example. Real actual buns for the sausages. It was so much fun watching these guys really enjoy something they hadn't seen for a few weeks. I'd love to go but I don't know if I could handle the hike in.

There was a great Trail Angels documentary shown at Trail Days that shows what trail magic is all about.

Less than 200 yards on the east side of the road. If you park at the parking area, you can walk a very short distance North on 501, then walk back the caretakers driveway. It's very obvious if you look at the satellite view on google maps. Or use this handy dandy map http://postholer.com/gmap/gmap.php?trail_id=3

    thats Miss Janet...
It's not procrastinating, its proactively delaying the implementation of the energy-intensive phase of the project until the enthusiasm factor is at its maximum effectiveness.

One time Mrs. Janet delivered Aqua mira to me on the trail because she heard I was running low. Amazing woman.

Snowwhite is doing good. I made Jamacan jerk chicken fajitas and salad. Then took the crew to Cabelas to get some badly needed shoes. I probably won't be seeing her again until June.
