Wanted To Trade--MacCat

I just thought I would throw this out there. I've got a brand new MacCat Deluxe. It's never been set up or anything. I figure it will be a week or so till I have to use it. The only problem is that I will never be truly happy with the gray color. I would consider swapping my brand spanking new gray MacCat Deluxe for another MacCat, even other sizes, of a different color. I sure would like to have one in Coyote Brown, but if someone had a nice BlackCat that might work to. It doesn't have to be an even trade either; I might pay, for something other than gray.

I contacted Brian a couple weeks ago about custom colors form a MacCat Deluxe. He said the only color he is making them in is the standard gray. So good luck with your search!

I wonder if Brian would make you one if you found some coyote brown silnylon and sent it to him?
Hard to find in that color though.

I posted those on another thread recently. They are pics of the black MacCat that I got from OES in April. At the time I just wrote and asked Brian about getting a black one, and he said it wouldn't be a problem. I can see, however, how that he wouldn't want to stock a bunch of different colors of material for typical tarp orders. There may not be many 'differently colored' MacCats around, but there are a few.

I made my own MacCat/BlackCat standard with forrest green Walmart 1.1 ripstop silnyl with black 1.9 reinforcements. The colors look great together and match my HH! Nice thing about DIY is you can make it whatever color combo you want.

Anybody try to dye sil? Seems like that would just make a mess.

(There was another thread today that mentioned dyeing 1.9 ripstop, which made me think of that here).
