Second DIY Hammock

made my first, and second hammock this weekend, out of 1.1 ounce uncoated woodland camo from scott at BWDD.
the first was a single layer, the second was a double layer,
they are both 118.5 inches long, and i think there both 67 inches wide, (i dont want to take the double out of the stuff sack to measure it)
i got home from work today and my amsteel and cinch buckles form paul came in, so i connected the suspension on the double layer, and got it hanging. the ridgeline i 100 inches long.
im really happy with it, its super comfortable.
the only scale i have is a cheap fish scale, but according to that the double, with stuff sack comes in at just over a pound, maybe a pound and a couple ounces.

I see you attach the cinch buckles to Amsteel to hammock.
You made a hammock bag.
What do you use the carabiner for?

thanks, the amsteel is girth hitched around the hammock and loops through the cinch buckles. and the ridgleine goes through that, its rigged up the same as warbonnets, best i can tell.
and the biners on the stuff sack are for the webbing suspension.

thanks, man, hammocks are fun to make, or rather, its pretty quick and easy, and your hanging in no time,
i made a new stuff sack for that hammock, wider and fatter,
it looks better.
i ordered some amsteel, i think ill try my hand at whopie slings,

Go for the whoopie slings. Once you build one and realize how easy it is you will see uses for them all over.

it really is addicting. i come home everyday and come on HF.
looking for new threads, or ones im following.
and think of something to sew, or finish something, or start something.
ive made 3 hammocks sense saturday, its alot of fun,
i need a better way of organising my materials,
i just wish i had a whole room dedicated to gear making.
