    My wallet is lighter!

    Hellooooooo all!

Well, I have been watching youtube videos of some of you guys (Shug, Stormcrow, Burrito, Headcase, Hickery, et.al.). and more and started to do some re-evaluatin' of my setup for campin'. Love the vids, keep'em coming!!!

So I invested in a WBBB, Tinny stoves and whatnot's. Would like to "do the gorge" this October, if I can break away. I am in need of an all around tarp and warmth system----??? Any help would be appreciated. I am not a gram weenie but I don't like to carry a microwave either.

Look forward to meeting you guys!!!!

Welcome! Sounds like you're off to a good start!
There are inexpensive ways to take care of your insulation needs. I'm sure there will be suggestions made, like pads for the bottom & a sleeping bag for the top.
If you want to try the DIY thing, you can make top & bottom quilts from inexpensive materials like "quilt batting" from wal-mart & their $1 fabric (if you can find it).
I too will something make and joy in it's making

Walmart is beginning to phase out their fabric depts across the US. I was looking for silnylon stuff but NOPE. Gone in my area at least.

I have a 15 degree goosedown sleeping-bag. That set me back. Was looking for an Everest trip at one point in my life. LOL

    Nice to be aboard!

Yea, my wallet is the lightest piece of "gear" that I have. & it never seems to gain weight, as much as I would love that!.

Most of my limited supply of "extra money" goes towards gear or trips. I have wisely not figured out how much switching from a groundling to a hanger has cost me, but happily, most of the extra cost has been that I now go hiking more often, so I suppose that is a good thing.
When you have a backpack on, no matter where you are, you’re home.
PAIN is INEVITABLE. MISERY is OPTIONAL.

    Welcome to the forum!
You have a a great start to your collection, there are cheap way's to gain warmth (ie.. pad) but most switch to a UQ, your SB will do just fine for now and can be used in the hammock without issue, until you save to get a TQ!

Welcome to HF. You have selected some mighty fine gear. Be warned the longer you hang out here the lighter your wallet will become.

Welcome to hammock forums! As for your tarp needs I would suggest the WB Big Mamba Jamba. Or an OES tarp.... but he's away until the end of July I believe.
