It would be helpful if you could give some more information on what you are looking for in a tarp. Ie.

    1) Material type, silnylon, PU coated, standard Blue cheapie tarp
    2) What price range?
    3) Are you looking to be able to close the ends in for a winter setup?
    4) Rectangular, diamond shape, hex shape
    5) Cat cut on edges?

    Cheers

    Brian

    $100 or less

    not really

    Rectangle

    yes

Thanks I did not mean to be so vague but I am new to all this I am looking for something to keep me out of the rain and the sun. I live in north Florida and we get a lot of afternoon showers they don't last long but the make up for it in intensity. I hoping to get a tarp that is middle of the road meaning I don't need a Macat deluxe but if i could get one i would buy it. I hoping someone out there has something that will work and willing to sell.

here is one from Campmor under $100 ....

    http://www.campmor.com/outdoor/gear/Product___22226

both these tarps would be great tarps for someone just starting out....
only bad part about Maccat tarps is they sell very fast and for around the same price as a new one ....if you find one for sale used....don't happen often but keep an eye out....you never know

if your willing to spend $100....i would look into something from warbonnet as well....or even the JRB 11x10 cat tarp is really nice for the money
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold

It is a great summer tarp... Though I used it year round back when using HH, and other gathered end hammocks.

The deal just got better....The JRB 8x8 tarp is included in the just posted Fathers Day Sale...Under $75...three left... good luck.
