    Southeast Weekend trip June 25-26

Anyone up for a trip in the NC/TN/GA/SC area on that weekend? I live in Atlanta, have a free weekend I don't want to waste.

    Possible

I live in MS and was looking for something either that weekend or July 3/4/5. I don't own a hammock yet, would it still be ok for me go come ?

    Trip

I'm not planning anything hammock specific, so no worries there.

I tend to go pretty light, and will most certainly be using a hammock for sleeping.

Not sure where you are in MS, but that's quite a drive. Feel free to contact me via e-mail at robbstanek with a yahoo extension.

When I saw "TN" in your list of potential areas, it sounded a lot closer to me than it really is. But, you are right, it would be a long drive.

Keep me in mind for a future get together. I don't do well in this hot and humid weather this time of year. Must be my 'yankee' blood

There are so many of us here in GA alone! We really should get together! Hopefully some time in the cooler weather though

Looking for backpacking partner for september

I am heading back to NC mountains somewhere around first week or two of september for another section hike of the AT. Will be going from the Nantahala Outdoor Center to Fontana Dam. 30 miles Elev 1800 to 4500 ft 3 or 4 day trip depending on how lazy. Will be traveling from Deltona, Florida and can pick up someone on the way. I don,t mind hiking alone but fun is only fun when you share it.

Last weekend it was 80's/60's on the AT Springer Gap north. Rain around but not on me. Mtns-R-Cool. I'm interested.
