    Grand Trunk 5mm cord

Does anyone know the tensile strength of the 5mm cord of the Grand Trunk knotted huggers?

The ickly blue stuff they ship with all their hammocks? I don't know the tensile strength, but i've melted it after 3 hangs. I've never wrapped that stuff around a tree, but I have clipped it to a carabiner and Hennessy-wrapped it through webbing -- each time, under load, it begins to melt due to friction. Blech!!

I really, really hate that stuff and remove it immediately on all the new hammocks I've purchased from GT.
