i too love alaska,how were the mosquitoes???

We were up there from May 24th to June 6th, and while we had incredible weather with temperatures in the 60-70s (minus one rainier day in Seward where it was in the low 50s). The mossies came out for a couple hours each evening, but really were not bad at all during our stay.

Admittedly, it was not a hammocking trip as the location for sleeping was wherever we parked the RV. But the hammock did make the journey and even got pulled out for a relaxing afternoon in Denali at Teklanika River campgrounds (generic evidence below). But I had mentioned the trip enough times on the forum that I though I would post a link to travel pictures.

Overall the trip was (in order) Anchorage->Denali->Fairbanks->Valdez->Homer (briefly)->Seward->Anchorage over a 12 day period with a couple of nights spent on pullouts along the highways.

Just amazing scenery and HIGHLY rated for anyone who loves the outdoors.

Oh yeah! Just got back from about the same trip! But ending in Anchorage rather than starting. Saw Denali on 2 different days, one day from top to bottom! Plus 5 Grizz, lot's of Moose and Dall Sheep, Wolves, eagles, etc.
