Its true, thus my comment about dog marking camp perimeter... Most, bears are naturally lazy and any site that has a dog (wolf??) in residence means that its more work than its worth, unless said bear is starving.

I've seen them come up to the marked perimeter then wander off. In once case I later heard another group nearby had been "invaded" and lost one of their food packs.

I still take the usual precautions about hanging the food and cooking well away from where I sleep.

    Alaskan Malamute

    vs. Siberian Husky

    vs. Grey Wolf

Quite different. However, they are all still wolves to many people. My neighbor insisted my Husky was a wolf and killed it.

Some people are beyond help (or hope).... Sorry to hear about your dog. Thats part of why I'm paranoid about my dog getting loose.

In one sense they all are genetically very very similar, same genetic structure and sites, just different info coded there. Huskies, and malamutes are as close as any dog breed to wolves.

I would insist that your neighbor is an a$$ and return the favor.

I was six, so it was 23 years ago. Good thing for a six-year old to have happen to their best friend. Any way, back on topic.

Those hooks are really cool. I wish I could come up with something like that.

I've learned a lot from the prototypes and the next iteration will be better (more convenient) to use.

If I like them enough and there's interest I was going to have them made for sale. (In my spare time I run a business making aluminum sporting good accessories.)
