Is there a reason why you state that only "standard" quilts of 78" lenght will fit this Hammock?

    Oerzi, et al,

web site says, correctly, that any of the standard 78x48 fit.

In fact a "standard family long models" will also fit, however the center sides wil fall away about a couple on inches from the side ... BUT... this is above the sleeper and is inconsequental....

Just Jeff, or Slowhike, or Attroll, can we get this JRB BMBH listed under "Hammock Manufactures" on the forums page and maybe move this thread there? Just asking.

I have a question about the weight limit. I have used 1.9 oz ripstop before in a speer type DIY and I has held, and continues to hold my 280 lb body (Although It hasnt seen much use lately). Could one increase the weight limit by replaceing the polyester straps (Which I guess would fail first) with a heavier duty spectra cord like 4mm Vectran (the stuff I currently use) and get away with it. Although I guess any warrenty would be voided if the body failed because I exceeded the posted weight limit (wouldn't expect you guys to replace it anyway for my own fault).

I'm sure the polyester straps are strong enough. It's probably the hammock body and or something else that gives it a 225lb. limit.

I got to lay in the prototype at traildays, I hate to admit: it's even more comfortable than a "regular" hammock. I'm not a stomach sleeper, it hurts my back no matter what I lay on, but for a short time I could/did on the bridge. Can't at all in my regular hammock!

It's very cool. Looks like a bear feeding trough. I may just buy one.
