desperate for a 30d hh hex... (UK ONLY!!!!!)

really want a 30d hh hex and im going to sulk until i get one... anyone got one for sale?

or something that is the same size and weight but different make....

im not going to pay 170usd to order one from hennessy themselves, thats offensively expensive and they should be ashamed of themselves.

been there done that.... hennessy wont let them stock anything apart from the exped and explorer and the relevant snake skins. they dont know why hennessy wont let them stock anything else but thats how it is...

i asked hennessy directly about this and they didnt really seem to comment on it much, they just said they do have 30d tarps in stock in their warehouse in the uk but id still have to pay the shipping cost of 60usd even though its just down the road.

believe me, i wouldnt have started this thread if i could have just bought it off the internet.... hence why i asked if anyone in the uk has one for sale!

my plan might be to buy a nice tarp and have it send to the aiport at jfk and have it somehow delivered to me on my transit flight....

I feel ya. Getting a DD Hammock or a Ticket To The Moon hammock shipped to the US is no low-price endeavor either. Whatever happened to this Global Economy they've been talking about.
I've had some success having friends purchase an item, then ship it to me with a very low declared value. Probably not in the 'spirit' of all the import/export laws, but......
    Trust nobody!

well i can buy a dd xl tarp... but its very very heavy in comparison and i think it might actually be TOO long to have one ridge line and the standard hh setup....

Is the raw 1.1 oz silnylon fabric available for purchase in the UK? If so, make yourself a tarp. There are specs available for making any of the major tarps from the tarp makers on this forum.

Do also factor in the exchange rate on the British Pound and the US dollar. Last I checked it was 1 GBP = 1.53 USD dollars. So your pricing on that 30d HH sil hex is back to 123 pounds with shipping.

    Cheers

    Brian
