Hi all, I'm exploring the world of hammocks in preperation for my 2011 A/T thru-hike. Your site has been a huge help in helping me find info so just wanted to say thanks.

Welcome chiudeu! There are also a couple of group hangs where you could learn a lot in a very short time. And meet a lot of great people and have fun too! Check out the MAHHA group hang in Oct. and the Dolly Sods backpacking hang in Sept. You should definitely consider coming to one or both!

Another fellow MD'er , Welcome to HF from MT. Washington. You should def check out the Fall MAHA and the NJ winter hang in Feb.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.
