    i just set it on a short enough stitch length so one pass uses enough stitches.

    tried the stand last night for the first time. worked great.

    i was wondering the same thing, since there is a single strand of webbing for about 6" before it splits into 2 guylines. i didn't notice any sway, but there might have been a little. i had everything cranked really tight too, that probably helped.

    Hi @warbonnetguy, I just came across this excellent thread as I'm looking to make basically the same thing and as light as I can get it. How did you fit the pole inserts into the pole sections? Did you use tube that telescopes inside the main section and then use adhesive to bond it inside the main sections?
