    Norwood,

Awesome report! Glad to hear someone else knows where Eldridge is located. I grew up in Carbon Hill and went to church in Eldridge most of my early life. We used to carry cakes and food to the Children's Home every Sunday.

Small world. Thanks for supporting ECH.

Awesome pics. Thinking about taking another long trip in a year or so. Did the 650 have problems verses the 1200? Been debating about what off road long distance bike to get.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?

One of us had the Dakar 650...absolutely no issues..

Just usual service and care...had to lube chain each day and so on...

Some limits with the amounts of gear he could carry...

He and the 1200GS needed to carry extra fuel tank...only time needed was Haul Road..

On my R 1200GS adventure ...I was good with the 8 gallon plus fuel tank.

The guy with the Dakar did trailer his to Redmond Oregon in our supply support trailer... I rode out and met him there.
