Hammockgear.com is back and better than ever!

    OK, Finally!

After our recent drama I am pleased to announce that everything is back up and running better than ever.

The Domain is secure and everything is as it should be!

Although it doesn't surprise me, I want to thank the folks on here for your support and generous offers of assistance during the last couple of weeks. I am filled with gratitude, and as I've said before, I am honored to be part of this forum.

There are a few announcements I want to make regarding the new site.

One of the first things you might notice is that things move a little quicker when you click on them. A lot of work has been done on the site to improve load times and make things more user friendly.

There are now some quilt comparison tables that help people see at a glance how similar quilts compare at different temperature ranges.

The product pages are a little different too. There are now more drop down menus that allow for more customization of things like Color, size, over stuffing, and fill power. Which brings me to our next change.

Quilts are going back to 800+ fill power as a default. This actually lowers the cost on some of our quilts. Since it can be a little harder to get and is quite a bit more expensive, I am keeping 900 fill power as an option for customers to choose from.

I have many plans for the site including videos, an FAQ, product updates, and much more.

Some items to look for in the near future are:

-800fp pillows that weigh 3oz and have their own stuff sack and suspension.
    -Whoopie sling tarp lines
    -guy line sets
    -Niteize products
-.....and my very own Hammock design!

    Also........

I am still really intrigued about a contest of some kind.....

Since I have a solid name now, what I REALLY need is a great logo! I have been kicking around a few and I think they are not bad at all but I know how there are MANY amazing and creative minds out there in my hammock family that I would be a fool not to take advantage of.

DO NOT post any of your ideas in this thread. Just be thinking about it for now. I am going to make a new thread that will discuss the rules and some of the conditions as well as the prize for the winner. (yes it will probably be a quilt of some kind).

As always, you can contact me through the website, my email address, or PMs through HF. Thorwren or I will respond as soon as we are able.

Very nice web site! The last one I was unable to see things clearly, paragraphs and pictures overlaped each other. This one is tight!!! Good luck.

Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.
