Neat way to carry extra cord- ridgeline

Hey all, I talked about this sometime ago, just got means to a camera finally,
so lookin for an excuse to try it out for here.. Just a cool way of carrying extra
line. It is a crotchet method, can be done in coils as well. Just limited to the imagination I guess. I call these my parabombs, give em out as gifts to like minded friends. This one is about 15ft. Just cut or untie the stopper knot and pull, very fast and efficient..

I just make a bracelet using 550 cord. Similar to this: http://www.instructables.com/id/Para...elease-buckle/ I just slide the bitter ends through the beginning loop instead of using the buckles. The ends are prevented from slipping back through because I finish them off with turk's head knots on the ends. That lets me adjust the bracelet as needed for don/doffing. In the end, I have 10ft. of extra cordage.

That IS a neat method though. However, the last thing I need is something to take up more room in my pants pockets...there's barely enough room in them for me. Who knows, I'll probably end up making some anyway.

    Cheers,
    Kyle

The 550 chord bracelet, off the handle of my knife, hanging off my pack, etc. in a daisy chain is what I use. All there for more emergency type situations versus a way to carry "extra".

How big are your wrists? Those bracelets don't contain that much cord. Maybe 6-7'.

I also make the bracelets etc. Most are not quick release like this method and require much more time to undo.. This is like pulling a rip cord, comes out as fast as you can pull it.. This little one shown holds more than a double cobra stitch can on the wrist, and those take time as well to undue.. Just sharing..
