No.. I just became interested in knots, and the sickness just took off from there.. Most of those bracelets you see are actually beginner levels.
Another one similar to this one is the slatt's rescue belt...Very cool..

How big are your wrists? Those bracelets don't contain that much cord. Maybe 6-7'.

Not big. But 10 ft. of cord gets eaten up pretty quickly with the braids. My tying off method also requires more slack to get the bracelet over my fist. The Turk's Head knots also take up some of the extra slack at each end.

Here is a project I came up with (after making tons of bracelets for everyone I knew) for a buddy of mine and is similar to yours. I called it the cockroach; it resembles a cockroach's scales I think, and it could help survive a lot of bad stuff. I had a whole list of things to put in, but my friend decided to keep it simple and effective with just stuff for fishing and some extra cordage.

Counting the inner strands of the paracord, there's something like 160+ feet of cordage, plus 60ft of 20lb test Spiderwire fishing line, 4 fishing hooks, and a firesteel rod. I think it turned out pretty well and got a couple more orders from other friends and coworkers. I stopped making them after 2 or 3, and never even made one for myself, though it's not too hard if I just had a free hour or so to tie one up. Just thought I'd share and maybe inspire a fun project for you too.

No plans, it's just like a king cobra paracord bracelet with a firesteel rod center. 1 or 2 wraps past the firesteel on each side to seal it in (the twist tie in pic #2 was just there to hold the firsteel in there until the knotting would do the trick, then it was removed).

Wrap over the first set of cobra knots with the fishing line (intermingle the fishing hooks in the fishing line to hold it in place), then "king it" over the fishing line and 1st wrap. Make sense? It turned into a very solid 4-5" long bundle, very rigid from all the tight knots and metal core.

Also could get a small blade inside, if making it a lanyard for a flashlight or just a keychain piece. Needles for suturing could be added also. Really anything useful and smallish can be fit into this thing.

Great idea! A few more items and you could have a survival kit on a lanyard. The only problem would be keeping the size/weight down to something that can be worn comfortably.

I covered the hooks pretty well with the fishing line. Extra wraps around the points and barbs take care of that pretty well.
