    I've just rigged my new Ogee with a slightly different slant on these tensioners.

    Take a 12" length of SC, tie a bowline in one end leaving a 1/2" tail, at the other end tie a simple overhand knot leaving another 1/2" tail, this will act as an extra backup should the clove hitch slip.

    Larkshead the SC to your tarp tie out and tie the guy line clove hitch just behind the overhand knot. The clove hitch still grips the single length of SC just as well but the extra knot is there should it slip at all.

    I'll do some pics later if that doesn't make sense
