Question Can you keep water bottles in your underquilt?

Can you keep your water bottles in your underquilt to keep it from freezing? How about denatured alcohol containers?

Yes - I sleep with my water in the winter.

in your hammock yes, but any thing on top of underquilt tends to weight it down.

It's not procrastinating, its proactively delaying the implementation of the energy-intensive phase of the project until the enthusiasm factor is at its maximum effectiveness.

Water bottle is always under the quilt with me during cold weather hangs.

Edit: I just realized you were asking about Underquilts. I wouldn't. The weight of the water bottle will pull the UQ down and create a gap between the quilt and hammock; otherwise known as a "cold spot".

That's right...in the hammock under a quilt, but not in your under quilt.

Do you mean between the hammock and underquilt? I would not recommend that.

Might I refer you to this thread? ->http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...m+water+bottle

That is the discussion on filling up the bottle with hot water to keep you warm, might be what you're looking for!

    G'luck!
