    Sierra buttes/sierra valley trip

So I got there about 7:30 sunday night my firends were there and we proceeded to listen to great music they got drunk (I don't drink) I sipped my Jack BLacks dead read root beer. and we roasted the biggest marshmallows your will ever see, told storied the works. As per usual I had to go you know and the sky was just breath taking. I had left the tripod up that night so I snapped this.

next day we wheeled up to Deer lake we set up for lunch right on the edge of the PCT

    Awesome Tree

My hammock setup with my DIY UQ. I was fine till about 4am when it dropped down to below 40* then I had to put my moving blanket in the layers

Fantastic pictures. I'd consider framing the night shot and the panoramic of Deer Lake.

Thanks much for the pictures. That is great that you can actually drive to a placee like that!

So did you stop being crazy before or after you left?

Nice pics! the scenery on the Nevada side is pretty different than what I'm used to, but no less beautiful.

This is in califonia lori. up in the sierra valley.

The night picture I took without my glasses on I forgot them at home and only had my contacts. I was really happy to see it came out. When I get home I can upload a larger version and link it. The pano's I took with an app on my iPhone.

The trails are so great up there is bugs be to no ends when I see stuff like what i saw in one of the camp sites. Someone took a hatchet to a hug tree and scarred the bark all up. I am an arborist and I really want to hurt people who do that stuff.

I know it's in California... I meant the east side of the mountain range is different than the west. I'm used to different trees, rocks, plants... I only get out east once in a while. Usually over Tioga Pass, this year over Tehachapi into the desert. Love it all.
