this shot was taken from the upper peak of Hihimanu in Hanalei, Kauai. grueling 4 hour hike, then attacked at nite by unknown bird. there is a 40/50 mph gusting taking place when a cloudburst comes thru. what you see in the picture is a HH expedition asym. stayed dry and cozy except for attack from the bird at 2 am

yes the spot is 6'x8' with shear drop off for 300 meters plus on 3 sides. the 2 trees are spaced perfect for hammock
