    Deer hunting from a hammock

Just ordered a camo grand trunk ultralight hammock for deer hunting.
Decided against using my dedicated backpacking hammock "Speer".

Tried the hammock during late season last year and loved the comfortable chair and the fact that i could stay out from sun-up to sun-down.
The afternoon naps were very nice also.

I started a fad as my brother and a friend now hunts from hammocks, treestand with bows though.

Interesting idea! Though I doubt that I would see many deer. Hammocks are just to darn comfortable. I'm afraid that I would get more nap time then quality hunting time.

That sounds like something fun to try makes me think about what to do if I can't get out of the hammock to hunt
Its better to be prepared for something that may not happen then to be unprepared for something that does happen.

I know that Gargoyle did some hunting last year from his DIY Bushman Hammock Chair. Told me he got a doe that tasted real good

I sleep in the woods all the time while hunting but I'm not sure I could work a hammock in the routine. Can't see drawing my 66" long longbow from one and I'm guessing ripstop and broadheads is a rough combo.

That bushman chair though - that looks interesting.
