    making my hammock

    im about to order my stuff for my first hammock from http://www.backwoodsdaydreamer.com/ just woundering if there is any sales going on anywhere? also ehat kind of rope shoud i buy with it? i was thinking some 550 chord

    I wouldn't use 550 for anything but whipping the ends. I would use amsteel or dynaglide for hanging. Sometimes you can find seconds from some of the fabric suppliers but backwoods daydreamer will take care of you.

    +1 on using Amsteel - whoopies & ridge line. Also the 1.1 oz woodland camo they sell for $3 is a good deal.

    hey, dont use 550, it streaches aprox 30%. also, definatly use amsteel....its the best stuff ever. make your own whoopie slings out of the amsteel.
