I'm kickin' back in the Traveler out at my campsite and I'm finding it to be just as comfy as my Blackbird. I do miss the shelf so I'll probably get a Ridgeline organizer. For now I hung the internal accessory pouch from my Ohm pack which works pretty good and is better than nothing. I'm not really missing the footbox of the BB at all. It's pretty easy to lay diagonally in the Traveler. Now to see how well I sleep!

I'm at a backpack site at Jay Cook State Park. I got off to a late start and couldn't get up on the SHT before dark. Gonna head up on the SHT tomorrow. Not sure where yet though.

My WB Traveler just arrived in the mail today. All rolled in its stuff sack, ready to be hung. I never thought about using the inner sleeve from my ULA Ohm pack as a ridgeline organizer---I’m going to give that a whirl tomorrow. I’m headed off to Bloomington to hike a couple smaller trails tomorrow, and really just to test the Traveler specifically. Wish me luck!

    Warbonnet Traveler Virgin Hang

Stuffed my MountainSmith Fanny with Strapettes full of Warbonnet Traveler, and hit Miller Park by the lake in Bloomington in my red pickup. Holy moly, this Traveler rocks! I see now why it's your favorite hammock, Angry. the 1.7 olive DL fabric is super soft (maybe softer than my 1.0 WBBB? I can't tell), and the gathered end, built in ridge line, and the cinch buckles on supple 1" straps made hanging it effortless. I love the width of it, and the ability to diagonal lay is better, I think than even the Blackbird with the footbox. I'm not sure, but it just felt natural to me. I'll have the two Warbonnet's side by side sometime.

As there were plenty of piney debris from the trees, I put up the stock Hennessy tarp, which seemed just large enough to cover the Traveler. If it was raining at an angle, I'm sure I'd have to hang it lower, but on a gorgesou 85F day in the park, I wanted to see the lake.

I did make one discovery--the 2QzQ peak bag, which I never really found a great use for--was an ideal stuff sack for my HH tarp and tarp line! I don't have snakes for this setup yet, so I just took it all down, and stuffed it perfectly in the peak bag, and without even taking it off the hammock, the entire shebang went back into the stock Warbonnet Traveler black stuff sack. So now, when I deploy it, a tarp is always there on the peak bag, should I need it.

The Traveler is my new favorite hammock. All the gear mentioned fit neatly in my fannybag, which is ideal on a warm day like today. SOrry, an empty hammock looks lonely...but I was soon in it, reading for a couple hours, after these photos were snapped.

Sorry, I missed your first post somehow.

I'm really glad you've also found the Traveler to be agreeable. Simplicity is pleasing.

Yep, it's fine. Wonder what original poster, pizza, thinks of his? Perhaps he'll post photos or a video.
