    Yoho-Canadian Rockies

Every year one of my oldest friends and I try to get away for a week in the wilderness. This year was originally planned for the Red River Gorge in Kentucky, then changed to the Manistee River Trail in Michigan. Ultimately, the 48 hours preceding the trip took a drastic turn and put me in the Canadian Rockies. Thank God. We were extremely short on time, but the three days there convinced me this is one of the most beautiful places on earth. We took a quick hike around Moraine Lake on our way up to Takakkaw Falls and the Iceline Trail, spending two nights in Yoho National Park.

I hope you enjoy the pictures, and I encourage anyone to visit this part of the world. I took over 600 pictures of the Canadian Rockies alone, so more photos should follow. The photos don't convey what I actually remember witnessing with my own eyes--the light is very difficult to capture.
