That would be the ultimate mod, IMHO. The problem is the zippers required to do it. They're called separating zippers. They would have to be custom length cut to fit the variety of hammock sizes, and the pin and box (the starting mechanism of the zipper) if damaged renders the whole thing useless. Too much risk and liability.

All I can say is WOW! Knotty was spot on. I can't believe how nice this is. I went with the mod 2 and added an extra zipper. I was excited to see it on the counter when I got home and immediately strung it up downstairs where it still remains but the excitment and sheer pleassure of looking at it out weighs the nagging from the wife.

Pro's to MOD2 + extra zipper on long side

    - the work is flawless
    - it looks better than OEM
    - to lay in it without the net is great
    - to be able to get into it with out the net this winter will rock!
    - it was shipped back better than how i shipped it, cords all done up nicely
    - ZQ even sent back a dollar because shipping was a little less
    - turn around time was awesome
    - updates were great
    - response time to emails - awesome

    con's
    - probably didn't need the extra zipper - i wasn't sure if both could meet in middle and then zip half to one side and half to the other ( i guess i should have asked)
    - i wish they lived within a half hour drive

Side notes - i think HH should contract them out to get the mod done at factory. would i order again - yes. would i recommend - highly
