Arrow My full setup: A comparison

    So my full hammock setup:

    Clark Ultralite: 2lb 2.8oz
    Slap Strap Pros: 8.6oz
    Stakes: 2.5 oz
    Carabiners: 2.4 oz

    Total: 3lb 0.3oz

    Comparison:

My folders for Honors English IV and AP US History: 3lb 10oz

    My sleeping setup:

    Thermarest Z-lite: 13.5 oz
    Moonstone Delta Minima 20: 3lb 2oz

    Total: 3lb 15.5oz

    Comparison:

My English textbook: ~5-6lb (my scale only goes up to 4)

    Conclusion

So, this is why a backpacking trip, using a pack WITH a hip belt, is a breeze. I carry more everyday to school than I do on a weekend trip.

That's pretty funny. I was thinking the same thing about my laptop in it's pack, and all the tools/power suppies, cables I carry to work 5 days a week.
