i will be going to lbl next week and i am taking a hh exp and a recon 3 bag. i believe the temps will be in the 40-50's at night. will this be enough to keep me warm, or should i also use a space blanket? thanks in advance for your help...

You'll need something to insulate your backside better than a space blanket. Get a closed cell foam pad from walmart or get an underquilt if you have the extra cash.

I was out in the low 40's last week and my 10 degree bag kept me too warm. I would agree that you will want something at your back or in the bottom of you hammock. I am not a big fan of the Wally World pad only because it take some of the comfort away but if you have to trade that for keeping warm I guess its a sacrifice to be made. I sleep very well on a CCF pad. But I don't tend to move much in a hammock for some reason. Maybe it's because I'm not used to being that comfy, so even on a CCF pad I feel like I'm sleeping on a cloud...
