Anyways. I would go with the thicker one. I have found that I can use a bag made for cooler temps and be fine. Usually by sticking my feet out. It will work as a top or bottom should you want to change anything around mid hike. This would give you a good warm option as both. You might find on some nights it would be enough on bottom only with no top insulation.

From what I understand from northbounders, you will start off and end in the cold. The middle is going to be really hot. I hope it rains by the time you start.

If it makes you feel any better I just swapped my top quilt for my 15 deg down bag, added my mittens, a second pair of long underwear for use while hiking, and my face sheild. It's freak'n cold out at night now.

OK, I'm a newbie hanger in OH, so consider the source...
RM sniveler is amazing.
Packs small, large loft, super warm, the flexibility of the quilt in the hammock is great.

maybe the RMS would be your best bet, it would be lighter (only 1 set of fabric) but it would limit your options for lighter weight

ask yourself what you value more:
1) the option to go through a larger (on the warmer side) temp range for a small weight penalty
2) the ability to go to lower temps, but not have an inbetween setup.

I'm sure you've thought about this also Cannibal, but what about long term and the fact that you live in warm Florida? A thru could be 6-8 months of your life or much, much less......not in your case I'm sure

Maybe the No Sniveler would make more sense. You could make up the difference in clothing......just thinkin
