I found the same thing when I put the full length New River on the hammock I had to roll the triangle thingy up and pull the cords almost all the way tight to get the UQ to work.
Yeah, I don't use them with a full length quilt either.

Going to have to do another Pinhoti hike so I can check out all your new gear

Since no one has said it yet... Putting the needle in backwards seems so silly but _everyone_ has to do it at least three times. That gets covered under the "make sure the machine is threaded correctly" mantra. Along with the "make sure your vertical bobbin case is latched in all the way." Them two little buggers are the last things I usually check cause they seem so idiot proof. But then.. I am a superior idiot.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

"Bless you child, when you set out to thread a needle don't hold the thread still and fetch the needle up to it; hold the needle still and poke the thread at it; that's the way a woman most always does, but a man always does t'other way."

Looks really good! Gives me confidence that maybe I can tackle something like this.

If I'm reading right, both quilts will be the same length? Mind if I ask what the final dimensions are (length/width)?
