Don't know much about the Chinook tarp, but thats a decent package deal with lots of nice extras!!! I'd jump on that if I didn't have all me gear already. Good Stuff!!!

So whats the deal with the Chinook tarp? According this post people were saying that it is $20??? I don't understand. Is it just a cheap, heavy tarp??? Can't find anyone who sells it or any specs on it. Any one got any leads on this or experience??? Just curious.

That's what I've heard of the Chinook tarp, basically an affordable, large tarp but obviously going to be heavier. There's a bunch of discussion here, including pics, and the weight is given as 1.82lbs.

This is a tempting sale, since it's the exact hammock model I have my eye on, but I don't really need the rest of the gear and I'm unlikely to use the Chinook tarp setup. Guess I'll pass on this one, spent too much on gear this month anyway!

I sent a PM to buy it yesterday afternoon. I haven't heard back from the seller.

With that gear list, I'd be surprised to learn that the seller hasn't spent time researching here on HF.net.
