Yep, that's what I have discovered. Thanks.

You're welcome... bike camping is great fun, but I wish I had more time to do it. Luckily, I have a great spot that I can ride to for a quick overnight trip. More bike camping trip reports to come, God willing.

thanks! great shots & gear! i have the same panneirs and and the brooks b66 myself. my mini trangia also does the same, when overheated. i'm thinking about sealing the simmer lid hole w/ a small screw or something. finally the ogee tarp is on my wish list. it is the one imo.

Thanks. I have taken the advice to remove the cap ring seal and use that as the snuffer... I just have to remember to put the seal back on.

I just saw a new alcohol stove perfect for the bush buddy!

It's called the Companion Burner. Out of stock at the moment at Zelph Stoves http://www.woodgaz-stove.com/compani...-bushbuddy.php

    Check it out...

Great set up, that looks good for just an overnighter.

If you need a longer burn time you could look into canister or white gas stoves. They have longer burn time and flame control.

I like alkie stoves myself but I look at other options too.
