Dang, 2.5 months! You'd think they'd be dying to get more in the way they are selling.

Sorry to drag up such an old post...

Does anyone have the actual weight of this tarp?

Thanks cybrus. I'm curious how accurate their numbers are, but that sounds about what I would expect. Not horrible, I suppose, for a non-gram weanie.

It's an excellent price ($30.00 now unless you're a member). I may have a go on one of these in the next month or so.

Two pounds is correct. I have one and love it! Loads of room for two hammocks. I sewed two additional tabs so that it can be hung on the square.

No problem - I keep going back and forth between getting this and getting the Diamond tarp from mosquitohammock.com. The Diamond tarp is $45 (includes shipping)and is 1.2 pounds and 13' x 10' and camo.

Tough call, but I'm leaning towards the Diamond Tarp - anyone have any reason why I should lean more towards the SG white tarp?

How will you be using it and where? If you have to carry it camping/hiking on your back I would go with the claytor tarp. If your setting up a base camp type thing the sg tarp would be nice. also big tarps can be difficult in small brush filled places.
EDIT...The claytor tarp may take two weeks or more to receive, its a good tarp if you can wait that long.
