    Clamcleats for rope tensioning?

A while ago I bought some reflective fluorescent guylines from this company in the UK. It's good stuff. I don't know the tensile strength, but I was using it for tent lines and indeed it is highly visible during the day, and highly reflective at night.

Another product they sell (and the reason for this post) is the Line-Lok tent cleat. On this page it is shown holding tight with a man's weight on it:

Any thoughts on its suitability for hammock tensioning? The Line-Lok takes up to 5mm (3/16") cord, can be adjusted while wearing gloves, and it even comes in a luminous version for night visibility.

Comments please. (I would test this myself, but I don't have any, nor do I yet have my hammock. Oh, and having posted this I am now going to search the archives to see if it's been mentioned before. D'oh!).

EDIT: Yes, they are mentioned, but I am still trawling through to see if anyone is actually using this specific device.

What is the diameter of the line & is it the neon green/yellow color with reflective line interwoven?

Um, it's 4mm diameter, but I don't know much else about it.

I probably shouldn't have posted about two exciting things in the same thread. If it gets too confusing I'll start another one for the reflective guyline. For now, you might find the information you want here:
