Hi AvgJoe - welcome to the forum
Welcome from another GA hanger here. Lots of us GA folks hangin in the forums these days
"Sometimes only nature felt real, while all human monuments and actions seemed to be the settings and the plots of dreams"
"So many people live in the past or the future and betray the present."
welcome to the madness
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
Lots of GA hangers because the weather is great for hanging here 8-9 months out of the year, we don't have to spend as much on underquilts (even though we really want them)
When life gets you down......make an underquilt!
While we are on the topic of Georgia hangers, I will introduce myself. I am also new to hammock camping but have been playing in the great outdoors my whole life. I have been lurking on the forums for a couple months, absorbing the plethora of information. I recently completed a DIY double layer gathered end hammock made from 1.1 ripstop (wally world find). My next project is an IX UQ. Would like to thank everyone for all the great information. I think this is becoming an addiction and I'm ok with that.

Thanks for the warm welcome, folks! I also think this is turning into a ridiculous addiction, fortunately hanging is legal, and cheaper than crack or gambling
I'll be trying to get 1-2 nighters in up in the AT when I get a chance so I'll definitely be taking you up on your offer Hall.
Welcome to hf avg joe Winder here.
Welcome AvgJoe! Acworth here
We need to start a new topic in the get togethers forum to plan a NW GA hang! maybe March?.....
